Fourth year . . . and GOING STRONG!

From May through July, Decatur’s city-wide International Arts Experience brings you five festivals, eleven art exhibits, over twenty live music concerts, several downtown events, choral concerts, dance, musical theatre and more.  Kids through adults, family and friends can celebrate the imagination, creativity, and diversity of many cultural traditions during this arts extravaganza. 

Without leaving Decatur, area residents can experience the beauty, richness and fun of Brazil by visiting the Aquarela do Brasil exhibit and joining in other Brazilian cultural events hosted by DAAC at the Madden Arts Center. In addition, the Lakeside Music & Arts Festival, July 4-5 in Nelson Park, promises to be bigger and better.  The festival combines dynamic international performers, jazz, blues, and pop music with children’s entertainment, an art fair and visual artist demonstrations coordinated by Gallery 510 plus children’s art activities presented by DAAC.  Both flagship events will be opportunities you won’t want to miss.
