Corks & Forks 2017 Scheduled for April 27

On Thursday, April 27 at 6:30pm, the Decatur Area Arts Council will present its annual event Corks & Forks, a food and wine tasting event which includes food from the area’s finest dining establishments. Held at the Decatur Conference Center and Hotel, the event attracts 600-700 people each year. Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 23.
Corks & Forks 2017 will be hosted by Jim & Tammy Ashby and Kevin & Terri Hinton. There will also be a 'V.ino I.nspired P.eople' (V.I.P.) pre-event with premium wine and food tasting. In addition to the food, drink, and good company, guests can bid on a host of items in a silent auction. The Decanter Fine Wines & Spirits is coordinating the wine selections for the event, and wine purchases during the evening will receive a discount.
Proceeds from Corks & Forks supports the work of the Decatur Area Arts Council, in addition, a portion of the wine sales will also benefit the Arts Council.
About the Decatur Area Arts Council
The Decatur Area Arts Council has been operating since 1967 when a group of local artists, teachers, and Millikin University staff sponsored a residency and performance by professional dance company. Decatur Area Arts Council introduces and promotes the arts, enhances arts educational opportunities, and increases the impact of and access to the arts to improve the quality of life in the community. We strive to provide arts experiences that can be enjoyed by the novice and knowledgeable.
